Daughter whose dad started dating her 'ex-boyfriend' revealed 'cringey' aspect of their unconventional family life
Saffron Drewitt-Barlow has opened up about why people think her 'ex-boyfriend' is in a relationship with her dad, and when it gets particularly 'cringey'.
The 25-year-old's father Barrie, 54, has five children with his ex-husband and business partner, Tony.
Believed to be Britain's first gay dads, they had twins Saffron and Aspen through surrogacy in 1999.
After the pair broke up, Barrie was introduced to Scott Hutchison, who was 23 years his junior, believed to Saffron's ex boyfriend.

However, following some backlash, she confirmed that she never dated Scott and that they were only ever 'best friends'.
Despite the admission, she revealed that she still finds it 'cringey' when her friend talks about his sexual relationship with her dad.
"Scott talks about their relationship all the time. One time he was telling me they had sex in the car, and I had to say, 'OK, I don't really want to know about your sex life with my daddy'," Saffron told The Sun in 2021.
"If he was telling me about someone else I’d be fine, but it was so cringey and just not something I want to hear."
Manchester-born Barrie lives with all of his family in their £6 million, ten-bedroom mansion in Florida.
“Our rooms are on completely different sides of the house. I wouldn't want to be in the room next door to them listening to them all night - no thanks. That's a step too far,” Saffron added.
“Seeing them kissing doesn’t bother me, though. I actually like it as it makes me happy knowing they are happy together.
“Plus, they don’t care, they do it anywhere and in front of anyone. You can walk into the kitchen and there they are, having a snog.
“Don’t get me wrong, I see it sometimes and it makes me want to throw up, but I wouldn’t just stand in the kitchen and watch. I walk away.”
The pair now share two young children together; Valentina and Romeo.
On her relationship with Scott, Saffron added: “I wasn’t with Scott for long at all, and really we were never in a sexual relationship.
“We are best friends and have been since I was little.
“He didn’t want anybody to know he was gay. He asked me to help him by being in a relationship with him and I said, ‘Of course’.
“They had feelings for each other when we were together. Scott confided in me. He told me he liked my dad. Then my dad kind of told me, too.
“The only reason I felt at all sad was because of Dad [Tony]. It was hard for him to see Daddy [Barrie] with someone else. But they are OK with each other now.
“My daddy and Scott have one side of the house and Dad has the other, but we eat dinner together every night.”
