Major update after families killed and girl, 11, left orphaned in crash
A man has been charged with causing the deaths of six people more than two years after a crash.
Four members of the same family, including two children, and a married couple on a motorcycle were killed in the crash on the A61, near the village of Mapplewell, Barnsley, in July 2024.
Shane Roller, 33, his partner Shannen Morgan, 30, and their daughters, Rubie and Lillie Morgan-Roller, aged nine and four, died when their Ford Focus car was in collision with the motorbike.
Mr Roller and Ms Morgan had a third daughter, aged 11, who was not in the car and has since been left orphaned.

The married couple on the BMW S100 XR motorbike, Christopher Barton, 56, and Janine Barton, 48, also both died in the crash.
West Yorkshire Police said Christopher Cockell, 50, from Wakefield, has been charged with six counts of causing death by dangerous driving and will appear in court next month.
Police issue statement
A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said in a statement on Monday: "A Wakefield man is due to appear in court in connection with a collision which resulted in the deaths of six people on the A61 between Barnsley and Wakefield in 2024.
"Christopher Cockell, aged 50, of Gresford Close, Woolley Grange, is accused of six counts of causing death by dangerous driving.
"He has been summoned following an investigation by the Major Collision Enquiry Team (MCET) into the collision which took place on Barnsley Road, in Wakefield district, between Staincross and Newmillerdam on 21 July 2024.
"The collision resulted in the deaths of Shane Roller, aged 33, Shannen Morgan, 30, Rubie Morgan-Roller, aged nine, Lillie Morgan-Roller, aged four, Christopher Barton, aged 56, and Janine Barton, aged 48.
"Cockell is due to appear before magistrates in Leeds on 28 October."
