Social media users were left in a state of shock when one man posted pictures of a Renault Megane was disguised as a Mercedes.
The car, spotted outside a Tesco store, had been decked out with fake badges and a diamante trim around the headlights, presumably put on to look like the luxury car's LED lights.

A fellow motorist who spotted the car posted: "I'm sorry but this just has to be seen to be believed. Not only is he parked in a (semi) c***ish manor but the dude has camouflaged his Renault Megane Cabriolet into a f*****g Merc.
"I've actually been crying with laughter for hours."
To add insult to injury the car was parked in a disabled parking bay - but didn't appear to be displaying a disabled badge.
The bizarre car attracted loads of attention - so far the post has been shared over 8,000 times and received more than 14,000 comments.

The shopper added: "I don't know what's worse.. the fabricated Merc grill and badges or those hideous diamante looking LED lights stuck around the headlights! I'm dying."
In the comments it was a mixture of people being thoroughly amused and horrified by the odd car - many people labelled it a 'Renault Mercgane'.
