A shopper was 'gobsmacked' to find a bad filled with adult toys abandoned in the street outside a Farmfoods store.

The woman, who wished not to be named, was heading into the supermarket in Prestwich, Greater Manchester, when she made the unexpected discovery, which was found at the back of the building, near the car park.

She said she went over to investigate after 'hearing a noise', but when she went to look inside the bag found it was filled with a variety sex toys.

The shocked shopper told the Manchester Evening News: "I was walking to Farmfoods in Prestwich at around 10am on Tuesday and came across the bag.

"I heard a noise and went to check what it was, so I guess they had just been left there!

"It's an unusual find but I had to leave it there as I was with my children.

"I was a bit gobsmacked but found it funny. I carried on to Farmfoods."

The bemused mum said she found a letter inside the plastic bag, which was addressed to a woman.

A friend who was with her at the time of the bizarre find collected the x-rated stash, and is now trying to find the rightful owner on social media through the Greater Manchester Facebook page.

However, at the moment, no one has stepped forward to claim the items, meaning the mystery continues.

"My friend has them now, but she says she's going to take them to the tip as she can't find a person by the name on the letter and no one is coming forward," the woman said.

"They are probably worth some money."

Strangely, this isn't the first time something like this has happened.

Towards the end of last year, someone else stumbled upon a bag full of sex toys when they were walking around the streets of Somerset.

The picture was posted on a Facebook group.

For whatever reason - whether it was the weight of the contents, the flimsiness of the carrier or weather conditions - the paper bag broke open, meaning the sex toys were strewn across the street.

According to the Metro, the selection of pink and purple sex toys were left next to a drain close to a branch of Natwest in Bridgwater, Somerset.

There are at least 10 toys in the collection - including bullets, vibrators and Rampant Rabbits.

Posting the picture to a Facebook group aptly named 'THE BRIDGWATER BULLET', the photographer explained that their location was 'behind Nat West Bank in town'.

Many people commented on the image, with some tagging their pals and others pointing out there's a 'lot of money worth there'.

One person wrote: "Damn it! I was so buzzin' to get home I dropped it!" Another commented: "Only a couple left now. I took the 2 pink Silicone ones so the rest is yours."
