First responders have confirmed that they attended Angus Cloud’s house before midday on Monday 31 July.

The actor played Fezco in the HBO drama Euphoria, which also stars Zendaya and Jacob Elordi.

At the age of 25, he died at his home in Oakland, California this week.

A statement from Oakland Fire Department confirmed that they had been to the property before midday on the day of his death, with a spokesperson saying that they were ‘dispatched to a location associated with the actor at 11:30am’.

Speaking to NBC News, the spokesperson added: “Upon arrival of Fire EMS personnel, the patient was determined to be already deceased.”

His family released a statement to TMZ: "It is with the heaviest heart that we had to say goodbye to an incredible human today. As an artist, a friend, a brother and a son, Angus was special to all of us in so many ways.

"Last week he buried his father and intensely struggled with this loss.

"The only comfort we have is knowing Angus is now reunited with his dad, who was his best friend.

"Angus was open about his battle with mental health and we hope that his passing can be a reminder to others that they are not alone and should not fight this on their own in silence.

"We hope the world remembers him for his humor, laughter and love for everyone.

"We ask for privacy at this time as we are still processing this devastating loss."

The details of his death have not yet been released.

Cloud is best known for playing Fez in Euphoria, a local, kind-hearted drug dealer who had a close relationship with Rue (played by Zendaya).

He featured in both seasons of the Drake-produced teen drama from 2019 and until 2022.

The 25-year-old was born and raised in Oakland to Irish parents and had planned to move to Ireland before becoming involved in the world of film and TV.

The young star was working at a restaurant near the Barclays Center in New York City when Euphoria casting director Jennifer Venditti approached him for the role of Fezco.

He was close to moving his entire life to Ireland where the majority of his family resides, however Venditti caught him just at the right moment.

Although, he was initially sceptical of the casting director's offer.

“She asked me if I would be down to do an audition, but she didn’t exactly say what it was for," he explained to the Wall Street Journal. "I thought it was some type of scam."

However, Cloud struck out and landed the role of Fez.

HBO wrote in a statement regarding the actor's death: "We are incredibly saddened to learn of the passing of Angus Cloud. He was immensely talented and a beloved part of the HBO and Euphoria family. We extend our deepest condolences to his friends and family during this difficult time."
