The father of the man who was found dead at Burning Man has spoken out after his body was identified.

Russian national Vadim Kruglov, 37, was reported missing by his friends after he was last seen on Friday (29 August).

They recalled that while they had gone to Burning Man together, 'his tent and belongings were left at camp' and he never returned.

Pershing County Sheriff Jerry Allen said that the man's death looked to be 'a singular crime', with the body being taken to a coroner for examination.

Kruglov's father, Igor Kruglov, has now spoken out in an emotional video statement given to the Daily Mail.

He talked about how proud he was of his son, who was known for the art he created at the Black Rock, Nevada, desert festival, prior to his death.

Igor said: "He felt injustice deeply and fought for fairness always, I believe a similar situation occurred here.

"This world is often unfair, but as a peaceful man, I seek justice. I want those responsible to face consequences."

He was found dead at around 9:14pm local time on Saturday, according to officials, at around the time Burning Man's famous wooden effigy was set alight.

Medical professionals have not revealed the manner and cause of death in the midst of the ongoing investigation.

Anyone who saw Kruglov before his death is encouraged to get in touch by calling 775-273-2641 or emailing [email protected].

Kruglov's friends have since set up a GoFundMe to raise funds in order to transport his body back home and cover funeral costs.

They wrote: "Vadim was the kind of person who could strike up a conversation with anyone.

"Always smiling and always in good spirits, he radiated warmth and kindness. He was social, creative, respectful, and endlessly generous with his time and energy."

The fundraiser added: "At Burning Man, he threw himself wholeheartedly into helping his camp, building, creating art, and sharing his joy with everyone around him.

"His excitement was contagious, and he filled his social media with photos of his beaming smile and the adventures he was so proud to be part of."
