Police have been on the lookout for three missing teenagers in separate cases within the same US county.

The Bexar County Sheriff's Office have urged Texans to check surveillance footage in the search for 19-year-old Camila Mendoza Olmos, 17-year-old Angelique Johnson, and 14-year-old Sofia Gabriela Peters-Cobos.

Sheriff Javier Salazar said on Tuesday (30 December) that a body had been found 'very close to Camila's home' after she disappeared on Christmas Eve at around 6:58am.

The body was discovered in an area of tall grass, just a few hundred yards from the property. A firearm was also recovered nearby.

Investigators said she left the home on foot with only her car keys and possibly her driver's license.

Although it is 'too early' to confirm if the body was Camila, Salazar revealed that foul play is not expected.

Details surrounding Camilla Mendoza Olmos' disappearance

"There were some indicators of suicidal ideation," the Sheriff said. "From what has been described to us, it sounds like it was a young person going through a very tough time in their life, going through some emotional issues."

Salazar added: "We're processing the scene, and we hope to have more information to release as soon as we're as soon as we're able, the area in question is probably about, I'd say, as the crow flies, about a quarter of a mile from here and probably a few 100 yards from her actual residence."

Camila's mother, Rosario, told KENS that when she called her daughter's phone, it was left on her bed.

“I put it to charge and went out to look for her. I thought I would find her like other times, walking, and we would come home together,” she said.

Before Camila disappeared, Sheriff Salazar said she experienced a 'mutual' breakup which, he believes, had nothing to do with the case.

Rosario revealed that she had contacted police about her disappearance after her ex-boyfriend and father said they hadn't seen her.

Sofia Gabriela Peters-Cobos' disappearance

Sofia, meanwhile, who was last seen leaving her west side home on Monday (29 December) at around 7pm, has been found 'alive and well', police said.

She was reported missing less than five miles away from Angelique, who has been missing since Boxing Day.

Angelique Johnson's disappearance

Angelique was last seen at the 130 block of Exeter Place near Potranco Road on the city’s northwest side on Christmas Day.

She is five feet 10 inches tall, 198 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.
