A father of a six-year-old with severe ADHD is furious with his school for tying him up 'like a hostage' for 'throwing a temper tantrum'.
Pictures show Gabe Perry's son Zayden - a student at Roberts Academy in Cincinnati, Ohio - kneeling in the footwell of a vehicle with his hands and feet tied by socks.
Gabe has claimed that Zayden was 'cussing' at staff because he didn't want to make the 30-minute journey from the school he attends in the morning to the 'after-school program' he goes to in the afternoon.
Instead of receiving a phone call about this, the parent said he was told by a whistleblower that his boy was tied up in the vehicle in transit.

His mum Elisa Schaney, 24 decided to pull Zayden out of the school due to what she called 'cruel and unacceptable' behaviour.
Cincinnati Public Schools, who is in charge of running Roberts Academy, said the 'incident is being investigated' and that they are 'prioritising the safety of everyone involved'.
Gabe said: "It's like he's been held hostage, it has to be so traumatising for a six-year-old.
"I send my kid to school knowing he's safe there and well taken care of so to see something like that in their hands just blows my mind.

"He didn't want to go, and he threw a temper tantrum then essentially they tied him up for a 30-minute drive.
"They should have called and had me come then if he needs to be picked up by me."
He added: "The second school took pictures, called me up and sent them. They were astonished and couldn't believe their eyes, I thought they were playing a joke or it was AI.

"When we spoke about it, Zayden pushed it off a lot like it didn't happen. He didn't want it to seem like it affected him too much."
Elisa, who was in Atlanta when the incident took place, added: "I couldn't wrap my head around why that was an option in the first place.
"I don't understand how someone can do that to a child. It's really cruel and it's heartbreaking to see the pictures.
"These are supposed to be safe places helping to raise our children and you put all your trust in them.

"I don't know if it's a lack of training or a lack of compassion but something needs to be done. It's unacceptable."
Cincinnati Public Schools said they are aware of the 'serious incident' as an investigation continues.
