Donald Trump seems to have convinced the world that he can indeed play golf, as he recently linked up one of the world's best players.

Amidst all the drama and controversy surrounding the US Presidential election - including the news that current president Joe Biden is dropping out altogether - certain moments in the race for presidency have stuck out more than others in the past few months.

One of these moments came in the disastrous presidential debate on 27 June, in which Trump and Biden seemed to go back and forth about their ages and the other's supposed inferior golf ability, as the former challenged the president to a game.

People found the exchange to be quite funny, though many doubted the skills both had on the course, given their advancing ages and un athletic builds.

However, a new video uploaded to YouTube may have shut any doubters up when it comes to the Republican candidate's credentials with a golf club.

Trump, 78, featured in a video on professional golfer Bryson DeChambeau's channel titled 'Can I Break 50 With President Donald Trump?'

DeChambeau is ranked ninth in the world and has won two championships, the 2020 and 2024 US Open.

A certain clip of the video has made its way onto X though, where it has gone viral and over three million people have viewed it.

As the two tried to break 50 on an 18-hole course, it was the 210 yards, Par four, 12th hole that took the spotlight as Trump's first swing - albeit unorthodox - sent the ball flying towards the green, landing just four feet away from the hole.

DeChambeau, stunned, commented on Trump walking towards the hit, saying he was 'walking it in'.

"Do I even have to hit?" the golfer joked.

The 30-year-old then had a crack at it, hitting a similar shot, though he called Trump's 'one of the best shots I've seen in a long time'.

The former president then putted the ball to secure a solo Eagle against the American golfer, who was dumbfounded.

User's were just as shocked at the billionaire's skills, with one commenting: "Making an eagle on a par 4 on any tee is very good."

Another said: "So Trump is actually good at golf"

And a third put: "It was from the reds to be fair, but still... he can definitely golf"

While a fourth hit back at some criticism: "How’s this not insane?! Lol. If it was a 210 yard par 3 - he’s made a SOLID birdie. The dude can golf!"

You'd hope he knew a thing or two, given that he owns 17 golf courses across the world.
