Donald Trump humiliated as heckler shouts insult at him during major speech

Donald Trump couldn't get through his speech at a golf event without a heckler's shout being the loudest voice of all.

The octogenarian president made an appearance at the President's Cup in Illinois where he was greeted with a mixture of cheers and boos, as his approval rating sunk to a record low of 32 percent.

While he's still quite popular in his own party Trump is at his lowest levels of popularity overall across the US, and it showed when he stepped out to make a speech to the golf-going crowd.

Through the mixture of boos and cheers that greeted him, someone shouted 'you suck' at the top of their lungs in the middle of the US president's address to the crowd.

Trump felt like he had to say a few words and get ahead of the idea that his appearance hadn't gone down well with everybody when the heckle came.

"You know the fake news media will say I got a very bad reception, but we got a very good reception, they love what we're doing," he was saying when the loud cry of 'you suck' was heard over all else.

He didn't react to this declaration and continued talking about how he was very big and brave for making a speech at a golf course, saying that he'd been asked and said 'I don't have the courage to make a speech'.

He then said in his speech: "These people want to see golf; they don't want to hear speeches. I'll only say this: Our country is doing great, better than ever before.

"And now, I want to watch the greatest players in the world go out and play, and play their hearts out. It's going to be a very interesting day of golf.

"Thank you, everybody. Thank you, I love you all. Thank you very much."

With his approval ratings dropping Trump is getting used to more negative receptions as he was also recently booed at an American football game.

It's little wonder that he's complaining about the media either, as his administration banned several outlets from the White House and the rest decided that in solidarity they wouldn't attend future events.

It produced some awkward moments where coverage of the things Trump is doing that he'd like to end up on the news has been so bad that he couldn't be heard.

It doesn't help that when he is somewhere he's getting more coverage he's doing bizarre things like declaring that he has renamed AI, saying he wants people to call it 'super intelligence' now.

He wants the US to start referring to it as 'SI' from now on in official communications.
