People question how Donald Trump 'aced his cognitive test' as 'childish' moment goes viral

Trump had to ask for help with the pretty basic task

In the latest round of Donald Trump trolling, people have poked fun at him for a particularly ‘childish’ moment.

It comes as the man running the US, heading up the government, state and military appeared to have to hand over a box for help when he failed to open it by himself, leading to questions over his ‘acing’ of cognitive tests.

This isn’t the first time the President has run into trouble with basic objects, with X users sharing an old clip of him leaving an umbrella behind after boarding a plane because ‘he does not know’ how to ‘operate’ it.

Trump’s battle with a box came as he awarded the first Medal of Sacrifice to the loved ones of three law enforcement officers from Florida who were killed in the line of duty.

The presentation took place on Monday (19 May) in the Oval Office.

Created by Tiffany & Co., the medals were sat on his desk in boxes but apparently, boxes that aren’t so obvious to open.

Trump picked one up from the top and pulled a number of confused facial expressions as he seemed to try and feel around the box to figure out just how on earth to open such a difficult object. Clearly an absolute puzzle in his hands and he just had to accept defeat.

“Do you want to help us out with this?” he eventually asked Alexandre Arnault, who was representing Tiffany. “You’re the one who made it.”

As the room awkwardly laughs at this, he then praises how ‘beautiful’ the medal is and poses for photos with it.

And, of course, the online world were quick to pile-on in tearing him apart for the box blunder as one wrote on X: “Guy that constantly brags about acing his cognitive test can’t even open a box.”

Trump has claimed to have ‘aced’ these tests on numerous occasions saying at a campaign event back in 2023 that he’d done so ‘with flying colours.'

He even said in 2020 that doctors were ‘very surprised’ after he passed one because it’s ‘rare’ to do so.

Users were baffled by him trying to open the box despite all this as they said: “It’s literally like watching a child trying to open a toy and handing it to Mom to open, because they can't or are too lazy to figure it out.”

Trump did just about manage to open up the other boxes as some said he’s simply ‘too lazy.'
