Jared Leto accused of sexual misconduct by four women from when they were teenagers

Four women have accused Jared Leto of sexual misconduct, according to allegations outlined in a new BBC documentary.
Airing today, Jared Leto: Hollywood’s Dark Secret covers allegations between 2002 and 2016, accusing the singer and actor of abusing his celebrity status in order to gain sexual favours.
The women, whose identities have not been disclosed, are said to have been between the ages of 16 and 19 at the time the alleged offences occurred.

One of the women who came forward says she had sex with Leto after meeting him backstage at a concert of his band, Thirty Seconds to Mars, in California.
Aged 17 at the time, Clara* claims that Leto had 'shrugged off' concerns when the age of consent was brought up.
In California, it is illegal for an adult to have sex with someone under the age of 18, with the offence known as statutory rape.
A second woman who came forward accused Leto of sexually assaulting her in a bathroom at a hotel, while a third woman claimed the now-54-year-old had threatened her with sexual assault while in a London hotel room.
A fourth woman has also alleged that Leto used his celebrity status to make sexualised phone calls to her when she was 16-years-old. She alleges that she was later sent a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) by Leto's team to prevent her from discussing her relationship with the Morbius actor.
Four other women have also come forward to accuse Leto of making sexualised phone calls towards them.
Another woman has accused Leto of asking a security guard to have her brought backstage at the age of 14 after one of his concerts. She then claimed that he made a 'lewd comment' about her body during an autograph signing. When the girl's mother confronted him, it is claimed that Leto repeated the remark.
"This was 25 years ago… he has gotten away with it," the unnamed woman said of the alleged interaction.
Leto is said to have been in his 30s and 40s when the alleged incidents occurred.
A total of 10 women have come forward in the documentary, alongside former members of staff who say they witnessed Leto's alleged behaviour.
The Oscar-winning actor did not respond to the allegations when asked to comment by the BBC.
"Jared is one of the worst people I've ever worked for in any way, shape or form," Brad*, who toured with Leto's band Thirty Seconds to Mars, claimed.
He also claimed that Leto would instruct staff to 'call up the modelling agencies and offer free tickets for the female models' when playing in cities such as Milan, Berlin and Paris.
He added that staff appeared to be uncomfortable in fulfilling Leto's alleged demands but went along with it as they were 'slightly fearful for their job'.
"He’s not really someone you wanna f**k with," he added.
