Donald Trump Jr. has made a bold claim following former President Joe Biden announcing his cancer diagnosis.
Yesterday, Biden, 82, shared a statement revealing he has been diagnosed with a more 'aggressive form' of prostate cancer.
"Last week, President Joe Biden was seen for a new finding of a prostate nodule after experiencing increasing urinary symptoms," the statement shared by his personal office read.

"On Friday, he was diagnosed with prostate cancer, characterised by a Gleason score of 9 (Grade Group 5) with metastasis to the bone. While this represents a more aggressive form of the disease, the cancer appears to be hormone-sensitive which allows for effective management. The President and his family are reviewing treatment options with his physicians."
While President Donald Trump posted a heartfelt message to his former political rival on Truth Social, his eldest son was not shy in making his thoughts on the 82-year-old's statement public.
The 47th President of the US said in a statement last night (18 May): "Melania and I are saddened to hear about Joe Biden's recent medical diagnosis. We extend our warmest and best wishes to Jill and the family, and we wish Joe a fast and successful recovery."
But while most political figures have taken to social media to wish the former US President well, Trump Jr. has controversially targeted Biden's wife, Jill.

Trump Jr, 47, questioned the timing of the cancer diagnosis, saying: "What I want to know is how did Dr. Jill Biden miss stage five metastatic cancer or is this yet another coverup???"
Despite Trump Jr's controversial claims, he did also seemingly send a message of support to the Bidens.
Responding to an image on X that read 'Politics aside, we wish him a speedy recovery!', he wrote that he 'agreed 100%'.
Former Vice President Kamala Harris also sent a message of support to her former colleague, writing on X: "Joe is a fighter — and I know he will face this challenge with the same strength, resilience, and optimism that have always defined his life and leadership. We are hopeful for a full and speedy recovery.:

This confirmed diagnosis comes just a week after it was reported that a 'small nodule' was discovered on Biden's prostate, which would need further evaluation.
Gleason is the commonly used grading system for prostate cancer and 'examines the pattern of cancer cells in the prostate tissue, and how they look and act, compared with normal cells', according to Macmillan Cancer Research.
Cancer Research UK explains that the Gleason score of 9, falling into Grade Group 5, means: "The cells look very abnormal. The cancer is likely to grow quickly."
