Cousin of newlywed husband reveals 'red flag' before he vanished in New York
The cousin of newlywed Dominick Bianchi has spoken out after his sudden disappearance, revealing that he'd acted out of character shortly before vanishing.
Bianchi, 35, walked out of his home in New York on Tuesday (September 8) without his phone, wallet or car, and did not return.
The move is out of character for Bianchi, according to his cousin Marina, who said she had initially thought he may have 'took off for a little while' but once he'd been gone for three days, she knew something was 'not right'.
She also noted that Bianchi had acted out of character in the weeks leading up to his disappearance, having forgotten her birth despite years of celebrating it 'like clockwork'.

He failed to show up to her celebrations or send her a text acknowledging the special day, which was not like him, according to Marina.
“Every year he reaches out on my birthday like clockwork,” Marina, 35, told The New York Post, adding that she'd first put his forgetfulness down to the stress of moving.
Bianchi and his wife Julianna Zyra had recently relocated from Quincy, Massachusetts to their hometown of East Greenbush, New York, in order to be closer to their families.
Adding to his family's concerns, Bianchi suffers from type 1 diabetes and they fear he may not has insulin with him. Marina said he always took his condition very seriously.
She added: "It’s the last person I would expect something like this to happen to."
The East Greenbush Police Department have not issued any updates on the case but are continuing to try and located Dominick.
Speaking on Friday (September 11), Detective Sergeant Michael Guadagnino said: “We’re continuing efforts to locate him, determine his whereabouts, you know, exhausting all investigative techniques."
Dominick's wife Julianna shared an emotional plea on TV about her missing husband shortly after his disappearance, where she said he struggles with his mental health.
“I know you feel really alone, but there are people who want to help you. If you’re seeing this, please, come home,” she said.
At the time of his disappearance, Bianchi was wearing an all-black ensemble made up of sweatpants and a long-sleeve shirt. He was last seen at his home on Tuesday morning.
Police have urged people in the area to check for any signs of Bianchi, who also has a series of unique tattoos, including a baseball on his right arm and a cross on his back.
