News reporter faints live on air with crew rushing to help her as host is questioned for his response

She collapsed while speaking and the show cut to a break

A news reporter in the US fainted live on air while talking, leading to her co-host to call for cutting to a break.

Fox News pundit Camryn Kinsey was appearing on yesterday's (8 May) Fox News @ Night, where she was criticising former US President Joe Biden for his recent comments.

Appearing on the show with Jonathan Hunt, Kinsey started stumbling over her words and appeared unable to think of the next thing to say before she tipped to the side and fell off her chair as she rather audibly hit the ground.

The camera quickly cut back to Hunt, who said they were going to get some help for Kinsey, before he tried to continue on with the show for a few seconds before announcing that they would actually be going for a break.

Footage showed that members of the production crew moved towards her after she fainted to check if she was ok.

When the adverts were over, Hunt told viewers: "We want to give you a quick update. Camryn is up and moving. We have paramedics checking her. We will keep you updated. We wish her all the best."

A Fox News spokesperson told LADbible: "After Fox News @ Night guest Camryn Kinsey fainted during a live on-air appearance last night in our Los Angeles bureau, paramedics were called and she was treated and cleared. We are happy to hear she is now feeling much better and wish her a speedy recovery."

There was some criticism for Hunt, who said 'oh my goodness', as Kinsey fell to the ground but remained in his chair and tried to carry on the show as others went to check on her.

Some felt 'you don't just go on with the show' and criticised Hunt as he 'didn't do a thing' to stop her from falling or go over to check if she was alright.

While some were annoyed that he 'did not even get out of his seat', others said that his job in that moment was to keep the show going on.

They argued that he would not have been able to stop her from falling and 'there are lots of people in the studio who take care of such incidents', and that Hunt did his job as he 'kept the attention of viewers off of her'.

Live TV is occasionally interrupted by people on the screens having concerning medical episodes.

ITV News presenter Rageh Omaar appeared to be unwell while signing off from the News at Ten, with the channel later saying that he had been receiving 'medical care'.

That part of the show was removed from the +1 broadcast which shows the same thing an hour later.

During a Conservative party leadership debate in 2022, host Kate McCann fainted off camera which halted the debate.
