A United Airlines passenger revealed his nightmare journey after being soaked by liquid throughout his US flight.

Kevin Glover, a 39-year-old from Cincinnati, was doing what people do every single day, when he went viral.

The traveller was minding his own business, as seen in his social media video, when suddenly, liquid poured down on him from above on board United Airlines flight 2616 from Houston to Chicago.

However, the real mystery is where the liquid came from, and what was it?

Glover, who detailed his ordeal extensively in his post to Instagram, explained that he was covered in so much water that he was ‘surprised’ his mobile phone survived the soaking.

Glover’s 26 April flight was marred by the incident, as apparently, the liquid kept pouring on him, even after raising the issue with staff on board.

“I was soaked from head to undies LITERALLY,” Glover wrote, as he hit out at United Airlines for allegedly not handling the situation well.

“I was not moved but given a few paper towels and YES on my entire flight I was soaked several times,” he wrote.

Explaining that the liquid drip began before takeoff, he said at first, he thought there was an issue with his earphones.

Glover wrote: “I felt a drip and I thought it was something with my earphones. I heard a drip and it kind of woke me up a little bit.”

But then, suddenly, ‘it was like a string of water just came down and hit me.’

He claimed he pressed the call button for assistance after the plane took off, but the situation wasn’t resolved.

Glover says he pressed his call button and waited until after takeoff to be assisted.

“Once we got into the air, we got straight, at that point I hit the call button again, because I was wet,” Glover told People of the incident, before claiming he was only given paper towels.

While the liquid did stop at one point, he said then gushed out at him, and disturbed those around him.

“I went back to sleep after that, and it had to be maybe 30 or 40 minutes later, a huge string started leaking down and woke me up out of my sleep again,” he alleged. “It was a good five or six-second stream, and some drips, and it got to the point where it startled my neighbors next to me. It dripped on them, because it bounced off my hat.”

The next time assistance came, he claims they speculated it could be built up condensation in the cabin, as the overhead locker was clear, but there were spaces in the crevices where potential liquid could build up, leading to the air hostess to shove napkins into the holes.

“At that point, I was a little bit more paranoid and concerned, you know, the health risk that could be associated with that liquid,” Glover explained, as he didn’t know what the liquid was, but was constantly being soaked by it.

Sadly, he says there was no solution, and he had to disembark from the plane still wet, alleging he saw people pull out their phones as they saw him.

As of right now, the current situation is that he told People he declined United’s $167 refund offer or a digital flight credit reward.

However, he said he did accept United miles while on board the aircraft during the time of the incident.

But for Glover, it’s not enough.

“They don't care, I'm just a little guy,” he said to the outlet. “That's a Band-Aid on a war wound.”
