Going to get your car fixed, unless you're an ultra-confident petrol head, can be a nerve-wracking endeavor. And one driver had an absolute nightmare when they forgot to get out of their motor while it was being looked at. Have a look for yourself:

Mark Perpose went to get his tyres changed at a local garage recently and ended up trapped in his car in midair as the mechanic got to work down below.

The young TikToker had been told to get out of the car but said he 'spaced out' and totally forgot.

When he realised that he was actually supposed to hop out, it was too late, and he found himself being raised into the air.

In a video shared to his account, Mark can be seen sliding down into the passenger-side seat in a bid to avoid being seen by the mechanic.

Embarrassed, he said: "Guys. I forgot to get out of my car when I brought it to the auto shop to get my tires changed.

"What do I do?"

In a separate video, Mark shed a bit more light on what had transpired.

"I was scheduled for a tyre change and the mechanic told me to just pull up to the shop and when I get there, the mechanic was going to get into my car and drive into the work station for me," he explained.

"So when I go to the workshop, I hopped into the passenger seat while the mechanic went into the driver's seat and drove my car into the bay.

"At that point, the mechanic did tell me that I was not allowed to be in the car while they were installing my new tyres but because I have such a short attention span I kind of just spaced out and I kind of forgot what the mechanic told me.

"After about five minutes of spacing out, I did remember that the mechanic told me to get out, so I started gathering my belongings, and one of those actually was this bag that was inside the pocket of the driver's side door.

"And as I was reaching over to grab it, the car just started rising up from the pits of hell beneath me. And I don't think the mechanic knew I was in there because I was still bending over, but I kind of just froze."

Mark went on to explain that as the car continued to rise, he slid further and further down in his seat to avoid being seen.

He was in the car for an hour-and-a-half while mechanics worked on his new tyres.

"As soon as my car started coming down again, I did start stressing all over again because I didn't know what to do," he recalled.

"I was gonna pretend like I was sleeping but the mechanic already knew I was wide awake, so I just awkwardly stared at the mechanic and gave a little wave."

Luckily, Mark added, both he and the mechanics working on the car were safe.
