A TikToker has sparked a heated debate after she posted footage of her date answering two work calls while sitting at the table with her. Take a look below:

Now, first dates can be awkward, lack conversation, and contain long pauses, but at least this one gave Kelcey Bligh something to TikTok about.

Kelcey launched into a tirade on the platform, calling her date's decision to take not just one, but two different work calls while still seated at the table, 'a joke'.

In the video, the man can be heard discussing different materials, such as a thicker material or vinyl. Riveting stuff.

Sat there waiting for the call to end, Kelcey decided to not just twiddle her thumbs, but take the opportunity to record the experience and share it online.

She wrote: "On a first date and this man had the audacity to take not only one but TWO business calls."

"For the record, I also had time to go to the bathroom, say hi to some friends I ran into and come back with him still on the phone," she wrote in the comments.

The TikToker exposed her date for taking two phone calls while sat at the table.

Kelcey also clarified in the comments that her date offered 'no explanations or apologies' after the two calls.

The post has amassed over 24,000 views and hundreds of likes, and fellow TikTokers have flooded to the clip in debate over if it's acceptable to answer work calls on a first date and possible reasons why the man thought it was okay.

Some said that the man could have been picking up the calls to look 'impressive'. One said: "He's trying to show off.... NOT IMPRESSED.

Another wrote: "1000 percent trying to 'impress'. The right thing to do would be explain the importance of the call to you. Apologize, then step away for a second."

A third commented: "Sorry babe, business never stops you know what I mean."

Some followers reasoned that his job could be important, however, and the calls unavoidable.

Clearly, answering the phone during a first date isn't very polite.

"He sounds like a contractor. Those dudes be working all day everyday. And when they're not at work they're on the phone talking about work," one noted.

Another stated: "You're not more important than his source of income duh."

"Maybe he should have excused himself from the table but work is work," another argued.

Whereas a couple of followers were simply left baffled as to how Kelsey didn't just get up and leave. "How did you not leave?" a user wrote.

"I would definitely get a cab," a second said as a final stressed: "Don't blame others for your choice! They're a lot more great men out there but you chosen this one!"
