A woman has gone viral after sharing a 'hack' revealing how she managed to get some extra carry-on luggage on a flight for free - you can see the video here:

Ashlin, or @miniadventures as she's known on TikTok, loaded up a drawstring bag with her belongings and then wore it back to front under her top to give the appearance of a pregnancy bump.

Sharing the clip, Ashlin wrote: "When you get a $44 flight but can only bring a backpack."

In the video she can be seen in the airport bathroom popping the bag on and pulling her hoodie down over it.

She then admires her fake bump in the mirror, before sharing a clip of her walking through the plane over which she wrote 'it worked'.

In a follow-up clip Ashlin revealed that she even got early boarding due to 'being pregnant'.

Posting a second video, she wrote: "When you get into character and pre-board a plane."

In this video you can see Ashlin on an empty plane about to take her seat, before it cuts to her in the plane's toilet lifting up her hoodie to reveal the bag.

Fellow TikTok users got a laugh out of the clip, with one person commenting: "Wow. This is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen."

Another said: "Modern situations require modern solutions."

While a third added: "I mean, that's genius."

Others have said they will be taking up Ashlin's idea with one woman sharing: "I'm doing this in a few days. Thank you so much for the tip."

And someone else saying: "Literally going to do this next week."

In the comments, Ashlin confirmed that she put the bag on after going through airport security, which is how she managed to get away with it.

However, just as a little warning - I would absolutely not recommend doing this as it's almost certainly against the rules and could land you in lumber if you get caught out.

Ashlin's hack was shared just days after a TikTok travel expert revealed the cheapest day to fly.

Christian Grossi posted on TikTok where he said: "The cheapest day of the week to fly is always Tuesday, with Wednesday not far behind. The most expensive day to fly is on Sundays."

So there you go.
