President Donald Trump has admitted that he's heard 'interesting' things about alien and an alleged UFO crash site in the US. Come on, Donny, just tell us.

The POTUS was taking part in a Father's Day interview with his son Don Jr, who is seemingly as keen as any of us to find out exactly what happened at Roswell back in 1947.

Don Jr said: "Before you leave office, will you let us know if there are aliens?

"Because this is the only thing I really want to know. Would you ever open up Roswell and let us know what's really going on?"

But if he was hoping to get some top state secrets on camera then Don Jr would have been disappointed as his dad replied: "So many people ask me that question... There are millions and millions of people who want to go there [Roswell] and see it.

"I won't talk to you about what I know about it, but it's very interesting. Roswell is a very interesting place - there's a lot of people who would like to know what's going on."

Trump Jr then asked if there was a chance that his father might declassify the information one day, to which he said: "Well, I'll have to think about that one."

The Roswell incident has long been a favourite with UFO enthusiasts and conspiracy theorists.

Back in 1947, a rancher found unidentifiable debris in the pasture used by his sheep, just outside of city of Roswell in the state of New Mexico.

Officials from the US Air Force said it was a weather balloon that had crashed, but alien and UFO hunters have been fairly convinced it was in fact an extraterrestrial flying saucer.

Some even reckon that the craft was filled with alien bodies that were then carted off to Area 51 for further study.

Storyblocks

Many years later the US military admitted that the debris was related to a top-secret atomic project... but as you can imagine that did little to stave off the conspiracy theories. The truth is out there, friends.

Trump has previously revealed himself to be quite skeptical about UFOs. Speaking last year about a briefing he received on a UFO sighting, he said: "People are saying they're seeing UFOs. Do I believe it? Not particularly."

But earlier this year, it looked as though he could possibly be convinced after watching the newly-released Pentagon UFO footage.

Three videos were declassified in April this year, and in response to a clip filmed by pilot Chad Underwood in 2004, Trump said: "I just wonder if it's real. That's a hell of a video."
