Police have found the mummified remains of a woman who's thought to have died at least 30 years ago in a flat in Ukraine.
Ukrainian police made the shocking discovery after the emergency services broke into the apartment of a 77-year-old pensioner in a district of the city of Mykolaiv. Stumbling upon what we'd imagine was quite the graphic scene, they then raised the alarm.
The body is believed to be the mother of the woman found alive in the flat, who is an ailing and elderly recluse. Her mother is thought to have died three decades ago, which was before the Soviet Union collapsed.

The woman's body was dressed in a white dress and head covering, and was wearing blue shoes and green socks. The body was also lying on the sofa, and religious icons had been placed near the head.
Her now-elderly daughter, who is known as a recluse in the area, was found to be alive, but paralysed in both of her legs. She was said to be lying on the floor and in urgent need of assistance in the run-down flat, which has no water, gas or energy supplies.
She had secretly stashed the body in one of the rooms of her flat, which was 'overloaded with rubbish' and had hoardes of old newspapers.

A police report said: "In order to rescue the 77 year old woman, officers called the rescue service which helped to break into the flat.
"In one room on the floor was sitting a woman surrounded by rubbish.
"The pensioner could not walk and needed urgent help.

"An ambulance was called for her.
"Having checked other rooms, police found a mummified body of a woman."
The report continued to reveal more about the reclusive pensioner, saying that neighbours had tried to help take care of her.

"The woman pensioner lived alone, and did not communicate with her neighbours," the report added.
"She never opened her front door. Despite this, neighbours tried to take care of her and left food for her on the doorstep.
"Nobody guessed that the woman was living with a dead body of her mother.

"Now the mummified body was removed from the flat and sent to forensic experts. The pensioner is now in hospital."
A criminal investigation has now been opened by the police.
