Fans were shocked to see the hooded figure in the virtual crowd

Professional wrestling fans got a shock the other day when a person uploaded a video of a Ku Klux Klan rally into the virtual crowd at a WWE event.

Eagle-eyed fans were quick to spot that a man wearing the trademark - and completely illegal - white hood could be seen speaking into a microphone at several key points during the bouts broadcast on Monday night.

In the same vein as the NBA, the WWE has allowed fans to upload their own images to the background of live shows.

Obviously, whenever you allow people to do stuff like this, some submissions are inappropriate. This isn't even funny, this is straight up racist.

WWE

As one fan commented: "Yo KKK was on the Thunderdome on raw."

Needless to say, loads of fans - like all reasonable people - were shocked and appalled by this one stupid person's actions.

One person said: "Some stupid fan had a video of a KKK member on there [sic] screen during The Main Event.

"Stuff like this is gonna make WWE remove the virtual fans and ruin the fun for people who just want to be on the show."

The image of the hooded KKK person was front and centre during the main event of the show, making the whole thing impossible for the world's largest wrestling organisation to ignore.

WWE

The WWE released a statement on Tuesday (25 August) that read: "This abhorrent behavior does not reflect WWE's values and we have zero tolerance for these unacceptable acts.

"We are working to ban those involved from future events and per our policies, any inappropriate actions result in the removal from the live stream."

The KKK idiot was not the only person trying to make a mockery of the WWE's attempt to get fans into their events.

Another person spotted that someone was using the image of Chris Benoit, the former wrestler who killed his wife and seven-year-old son before hanging himself in 2007.
