A woman was forced to phone the police after she discovered an enormous safe stuffed away inside a house she bought at auction.

Tiffany Ma, 28, from LA, bought the property with her partner in a bid to transform the run-down listing into a profitable home, but the pair got more than they bargained for when they stepped inside for the first time.

After hiring a contractor to wrench the safe open, Tiffany was so stunned by what was inside that she decided to call the police.

Not only was there a ‘World War II dagger’ and engagement rings inside, but in a TikTok video Tiffany said she also found ‘a bunch of photos that could definitely be used as blackmail’.

Most creepy of all though, was the fact the safe contained an item that Tiffany wasn’t able to speak about, because police had warned her to keep shtum.

Tiffany told her followers: "We found some heirlooms like an engagement ring, a bunch of photos that could definitely be used as blackmail, a tonne of rare bills and old coins that are probably worth more than a Birkin.”

She added: "We even found a World War II dagger that was for the bad guys, but honestly, the craziest thing we found, I’m not even allowed to tell you guys, because we have to get the police involved."

Tiffany Ma discovered plenty of strange items in her new property.

Tiffany explained that she was forced to call in a contractor to open the safe with a grinder and a pickaxe after receiving an unnerving phone call.

Tiffany and her partner Matt were called up by an unknown individual warning them that their new home had been broken into just days before they moved in, and the pair also noticed that the safe had marks on it that suggested someone had already tried to pry it open.

A few days after they were handed the keys to the property, a young man approached Tiffany and Matt claiming to be the nephew of the previous owner and asked for the safe’s contents to be handed over.

After getting police involved, the couple cleaned the home up but decided upon tearing the property down completely and rebuilding from scratch, which, given the circumstances, seems like an excellent idea.

Tiffany and Matt eventually discovered that the previous owner had died without a will, and her clip has racked up an eye-watering 1.7 million views so far.
