A woman who was kidnapped when she was just a little girl will be walked down the aisle by both her father and the man she grew up believing was her father. You can trailer for a documentary about the incredible story here:

Miche Zephany, from South Africa, spent the first 17 years of her life believing that her dad was Michael, but discovered that she had actually been swiped from her biological parents when she was just days old.

Miche, who features in a new documentary titled Girl, Taken set to air on Paramount+, was born Zepheny Nurse, but just days after she was born she was snatched by a woman dressed as a nurse as her mother Celeste lay asleep next to her.

The kidnapper was Lavona Solomon, who after suffering a miscarriage faked the rest of her pregnancy and stole the baby.

Miche, now 25, grew up completely unaware of her unusual start in life and had a normal childhood with who she believed to be her parents.

She was also completely unaware that her biological family had never given up the desperate search for their little girl.

Things finally came to light 17 years later after a new girl started at the same school as Miche, who bore an uncanny resemblance to the teen - that girl turned out to be her biological younger sister Cassidy, then 14.

Speaking to the Mirror, Miche said: “I was just a normal teenager up until the day I met Cassidy at school. When I saw her face we had this sensation, this connection.

“She was shocked and she said ‘Why do you look like me?’.

“We immediately clicked and we immediately became friends. I felt a sense of protection.”

Meanwhile, Cassidy - who grew up knowing all about her older sister - grew suspicious that this could be her long-lost sister and told dad Morne.

Morne said he felt an ‘instant connection’ after seeing his daughter after such a long time.

Cassidy decided to present her theory to Miche, who did some digging and discovered her birth hadn’t been registered until she was six-years-old, so decided to get a DNA test.

The test showed that Morne and Celeste were her biological parents - and Lavona was arrested and jailed for 10 years for kidnap, fraud, and violating the Children’s Act. Michael has always insisted he never knew Miche wasn’t his real daughter.

Despite there initially being a tense relationship between Micheal and Morne, Miche says they now have a ‘respect’ for one another.

And when she marries her long-term partner Justin Sheldon she plans to have both men by her side.

She told the Mirror: “I want both my dads to walk me down the aisle. I would want them both to have that honour.

“I was raised by and lived with Michael but I have my birth father Morne too. My children know them both. My kids play regularly with Michael. He is their ‘Papa’, who brought me up.

“Then they have ‘Pa’ who is my dad.”
