Wordle users have branded today’s word as “worst day of my life” after many players failed to correctly guess Wordle 243 in under six tries.

Players of the daily word game, which was recently taken over by The New York Times, have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts on the “frustrating” installment on 17th February 2022, which saw the majority of players unable to decode the word in the allotted tries.

Tobie headed to the social media platform to share his incomplete Wordle grid whilst writing: “This is the worst day of my life.”

Another angry player wrote in all caps: “You gotta be f***in’ kidding me”, while another explained that they threw their phone “across the room” after becoming enraged at the game.

Meanwhile, another user asked to “talk” to the creator of today’s wordle, writing: “Whoever came up with today’s wordle, show yourself I just wanna talk.”

Another had a similar idea, penning: “Does anyone have the address for the New York Times? Would LOVE to drop by.”

A different user, who seemed to be disappointed by the outcome, wrote: “Nobody talk to me for 24 hours. I can’t believe this”.

The difficult Wordle comes as fans were left feeling “helpless” after a gaming error provided two different answers to the game on Wednesday 16th February 2022, according to differing outcomes in The Herald Scotland and Forbes.

The latest Wordle mishap comes around a week after the game was taken over by The New York Times after the original creator, Josh Wardle, sold the game for a currently unknown seven-figure amount.
