The British man who staged a wedding with a nine-year-old girl in Disneyland is a convicted pedophile in the UK.
Jaskarn 'Jacky' Jhaj, 39, is a convicted sex offender who is said to have been arrested over a pretend wedding to a Ukrainian girl in Disneyland on Saturday morning (21 June).
Part of the theme park was privately hired for a reported €130,000 (£111,140), as 100 or so people posed as 'guests'.

The girl's mother, 41, was one of the four who were arrested, while Jhaj was said to have been dressed as the 'groom'.
Disneyland Paris said via a translated statement that 'a private event planned in our destination was immediately cancelled by our teams after the identification of important irregularities'.

The amusement park confirmed that 'police were quickly alerted and intervened on the spot as soon as possible'.
Jhaj, who was described as a 'dangerous sexual predator' in a previous court case, was reportedly remanded in custody and charged with fraud, breach of trust, money laundering, and identity theft.

Prosecutors said the wedding was 'a fictitious ceremony intended to be filmed privately' and the Brit is alleged to have 'recruited, with the help of a Latvian citizen, other Latvian nationals to ensure the smooth running of the event'.
"The organiser having assumed the identity of a Latvian national and used false documents to obtain the conclusion of the contract for the privatisation of the park," they added.
In 2016, Jhaj was found guilty of four counts of sexual activity with two 15-year-olds after posing as a film producer.
The then 29-year-old was jailed for four years as he pretended to be 21 to groom teenagers and pick them up from school in his Range Rover.

Then in July 2024, he plead guilty to two breaches of a notification order and a breach of a Sexual Harm Prevention Order, according to Isleworth Crown Court.
Following the recent incident in Paris, a spokesman for the Metropolitan Police said: “A 39-year-old man is wanted by the Met Police for breaching a Sexual Harm Prevention Order and a breach of a Sex Offenders’ Register notification requirement.
“We are aware the man has been arrested in France for other matters and officers are in contact with the French authorities.”
The young girl, who reportedly arrived in the French capital two days before the fake ceremony, did not suffer 'any violence, neither physical nor sexual' and 'was not forced to play this role' of a bride, police said.
The child's mother, a 41-year-old Ukrainian woman, was also arrested alongside a Latvian woman, 24, and a Latvian man, 55.

A witness told French newspaper Le Parisien: “We were not told at any time that it was about a film shoot. We all thought we were going to be part of a wedding.
“Everyone was stunned. No one expected this. Disneyland does things very well. They immediately cancelled when they understood that the bride was a kid.
“We were sickened by that.”
The Tribunal judiciaire de Meaux told LADBible Group: "In the proceedings related to the organisation of a mock wedding held on June 21, 2025, within the grounds of Disneyland Paris, the Meaux public prosecutor's office received, during the night of June 22 to 23, 2025, information from the British authorities allowing for the identification of the sponsor and organizer of this 'event' as a British citizen born in October 1985.

"This individual had previously been convicted, notably for sexual offences involving minors. As such, he is listed in the UK’s sex offender registry and is currently wanted at the national level by the judicial authorities of his country of origin for failing to comply with the obligations arising from that listing.
"On June 23, 2025, this British national, along with a Latvian national involved in organising the 'ceremony', were brought before an investigating judge at the judicial court of Meaux.
"In accordance with the prosecutor’s submissions, the man was indicted on charges of fraud, breach of trust, money laundering, and identity theft, and was placed in pre-trial detention. With regard to the charge of corrupting a minor, he was placed under the status of assisted witness.
"The Latvian national, for her part, was also placed under the status of assisted witness.
"The judicial investigation is ongoing.
"It is reminded that an indictment does not equate to a finding of guilt, and that any person remains presumed innocent until they have been definitively convicted by a court of law."
