A tourist in India says he fractured all of his limbs after plummeting 40 feet from a zip line.

Kuber Supur was holidaying at the Sterling River Resort in Dandeli, India, when he fell from the zip line on July 3.

Wearing a blue safety helmet and a harness, footage appears to show Mr Supur leaping from a platform while attached to a zip line only to become unattached two seconds later.

The footage then shows him falling for another second before landing legs first on a set of concrete steps. He then rolls onto some near by grass.

A sound of disbelief from the platform can be heard before the person filming the footage hastily makes for a ladder to climb down to the ground before the video clips ends.

Mr Supur was taken to the Government Hospital in Dandeli for initial treatment but had to be taken to Miraj for more advanced care.

He has claimed he has fractures both his arms and legs as well as suffered significant nerve damage.

Mr Super and his family have alleged the safety lock on the zip line failed as he made the jump, with the safety equipment looking 'rusty'.

They believe the incident could have been prevented if the equipment was regularly maintained and inspected, accusing the resort management of negligence.

LADbible has approached Sterling Silver Resort for comment.

Woman died after attempting a 'rope jump' in Brazil

The incident is not the first daredevil stunt to end in injury in 2026, though thankfully this one didn't result in a fatality.

That wasn't the case for Maria Eduarda Rodrigues de Freitas, who fell to her death aged 21 after making a rope jump off Ponte do Esqueleto, 'Skeleton Bridge', in the city of Limeria, Brazil, in June when staff members allegedly forgot to attach the 'safety rope,' according to witnesses.

A rope jump is like a bungee jump but uses a rope rather than an elasticated cable.

Footage captured the 21-year-old being held up by staff members who then threw her off the bridge and down a 131-foot drop.

Though she was reportedly still alive when help arrived, she died of her injuries at the scene.

Luis Felipe Feliciano Egoroff, 32, Vitor de Freitas Gonçalves, 27, and Maicon Fernandes Cintra, 42, were charged with homicide with implied malice.

Timeline of accidents at Brazil's Skeleton Bridge

Ponte do Esqueleto, nicknamed Skeleton Bridge, was meant to be part of Brazil’s Federal Railway Network (RFFSA).

It’s been abandoned for around 30 years. However, it has remained popular with extreme sports enthusiasts, and this isn’t the first tragedy that has taken place there.

According to O Tempo, one businessman claimed the bridge receives 500 visitors a month.

April 2024

Mum-of-one Kelly Stefani de Oliveira Alves, 39, is cycling with her husband on the Skeleton Bridge when she loses her balance as her foot touches a low wall.

Tragically, she falls off the bridge and drops 15 metres with her bike, dying at the scene and leaving behind a seven-year-old son.

Following the accident, Brazil’s Ministry of Management and Innovation in Public Services (MGI) asks for the bridge to be closed and for danger signs to warn people not to go on it.

Nevertheless, activities at the site resumed.

August 2025

Two women fall from the Skeleton Bridge and suffer serious injuries.

One woman is taken to Santa Casa de Limeira hospital with critical injuries. Another suffers multiple fractures throughout her body.
