Many people might think your boss is the best person ever when they bring in a packet of biscuits for the office or – better still – let you leave an hour early on a Friday, but a group of employees in Australia clearly have it far, far better... having been whisked off to Bali for an all expenses paid trip. Watch a video of the incredible trip here:

Staff at Sydney-based marketing firm Soup Agency were taken to the idyllic Indonesian island for a two week working holiday – their first as a team and, by the looks of things, not a bad start.

In a video shared to the company’s Instagram feed, employees could be seen heading out on sunny morning hikes together, quad biking, working by the pool, doing yoga and eating and drinking together.

“A wrap up of Bali - first working holiday as a team,” the caption said.

At one point, one staff member called Michelle even celebrated her 24th birthday, with a clip showing her blowing out candles on a cake as everyone lounged next to the pool.

Katya Vakulenko, Managing Director at Soup, said the trip in May was the best team-building exercise at the agency since its launch, having decided to take people abroad after the pandemic helped her realise that staff really can work anywhere.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, she said: “I think it's important for workplaces to all work together as a team, both inside and outside of working hours.

“Covid-19 taught us that there are new ways of working and essentially, we can work from anywhere.

“So we decided to really take that to the next level.”

The team were taken to a luxury villa in Ubud, one hour north of Denpasar.

Over the course of the fortnight, staff were not only able to crack on with some work, but also take part in team-bonding activities like swimming, snorkelling and quad biking, also feasting on oysters and cocktails at their dreamy temporary home.

Despite the obvious distractions, Digital Marketing Executive Kumi Ho said the team were able to stay productive during the unforgettable trip.

Ho said: “Having the whole agency work, interact, and collaborate was refreshing.

“It was definitely an experience in life that I won't forget."
