World's Largest Greggs Has Opened Today

The biggest Greggs in the world has opened today

Good news for anyone who lives for pasties and pies, because the world’s biggest Greggs café has opened today (12 February).

The hugely popular bakery chain has also branched out into the fashion world and released a range consisting of 11 pieces, which are – of course – pastry themed in collaboration with Primark.

The range will be on show at a temporary boutique on Dean Street in Soho, London, as of next week.

More interestingly to most, the huge café has been opened up today in the Primark flagship store at Birmingham’s Bullring shopping centre.

It can accommodate 130 people at any given time, and sits on the -1 mezzanine floor of the massive clothing shop.

Inside, you can get hold of all of your favourite Greggs scran, sausage rolls of both the meaty and vegan variety, steak bakes, and meat and potato pies.

Furthermore, there is a whole social media area in case you want to share the Greggs on the ‘Gram.

In this ‘Instagram Area’ there is even a doughnut shaped swing that you can sit on whilst you have your picture taken.

There’s also a self-service coffee cart so that you can get your cup of Joe.

Basically, this isn’t like any other Greggs that you’ll ever have been into.

The neon lighting and general ‘fancy’ feel to the place put it levels above the usual high-street pasty shop, that’s for sure.

Should you wish to head on down and see for yourself, it’s open from today, and the fashion range – a collaboration with Primark – will be in 60 shops in the UK from next Saturday (19 February).

Greggs business development director Raymond Reynolds said: "Our Tasty by Greggs cafe will be the first of its kind, and will offer an exciting Greggs experience, underpinned by the great products and service that’s already delivered across all of our shops.”

Tim Kelly, the director of new business development at Primark, added: “We want to give our customers incredible experiences in our stores and offer collections they can’t find anywhere else, with brands we know they love.

“We’re thrilled to have teamed up with Greggs to bring the Tasty Cafe to our Birmingham store and give fans of the brand the chance to get their hands on the limited-edition clothing range.”

As long as the steak bake tastes the same, it’ll be a success.
