Ellen White is a footballer who plays as a forward for the England national team as well as Manchester City.

The England striker has been on the national team for over a decade, having first played her senior debut for England in 2010, after joining the youth team as a teenager.

As the Lionesses' record goalkeeper, the sports star has scored 52 goals over her senior career and will be hoping to up that record when she plays in the England vs Germany Women’s Euros final on Sunday.

Read on to find out more about the England football star, including her net worth and earnings…

What is Ellen White’s net worth?

As of 2022, Ellen White has an estimated net worth of around $1million or £820,000 according to Taddlr. Although female footballers do not traditionally get paid as well as men, Ellen’s presence on both the England and Man City teams will mean she’s had plenty of earning potential, in addition to her previous time spent playing for teams such as Chelsea, Leeds and Arsenal. She’s also an ambassador for Adidas so will likely have received earnings in the form of sponsorship deals.

England will reportedly receive a total of £1.3m pay-out should they win the Euros final, with each player thought to receive around £55,000 in prize money. Ellen White’s salary is unknown, but in 2020, the Football Association announced they would be paying the England women’s football team the same amount as the men’s team per game.

Ellen began her career from an early age, getting spotted by Arsenal scouts at the age of eight while playing for Aylesbury Town. She began playing for London rivals Chelsea at the age of sixteen and later played for Leeds United, Notts County and Birmingham City before joining her current team at Man City in 2019. On the international stage, he was a part of England’s under-17, under-19, under-20 and under-23 teams before making her senior debut in 2010 against Austria.

Ellen currently plays as a forward for the England national team and has been part of the squad for many of their key games over the last decade, including at three FIFA Women’s World Cup Championships and twice at the Olympics in 2012 and 2020. She’s also been named England's International Player of the Year three times, in 2011, 2018 and 2021.

Having been involved in the game for many years, the football star is sometimes looked up to as a role model, especially for young women wanting to get into the sport, a role Ellen has said she is glad to take on. “It is pretty insane really. It is lovely and I feel really lucky. It is a real privilege being a role model,” she previously said.

“It still feels a bit weird at the same time but boys and girls running around with shirts on, being a Lioness, it is amazing to see.”

Ellen is married to Callum Convery, who formerly worked as a sports development officer for the Nottinghamshire Football Association, with the couple thought to have met during their time as students at Loughborough College in Leicestershire.
