Angry viewers say KSI should have been disqualified after knocking out Joe Fournier in round two

Angry viewers say KSI should have been disqualified after knocking out Joe Fournier in round two

KSI came out victorious after just two rounds

KSI has knocked out opponent Joe Fournier in the second round at MF & DAZN: X Series 007 - a result that has already proven controversial.

The pair battled it out at at Wembley Arena today, with their clash billed as KSI’s toughest bout yet of his crossover boxing career, with Fournier, 40, being an experienced boxer with nine professional fights under his belt.

It took just two rounds for KSI, 29, to come out victorious, but it didn't take long before his win was called into question.

Angry viewers took to Twitter to argue that he should have been disqualified after seeming to use his elbow to knock out Fournier.

One tweeted: "KSI shouldn’t take that win, you can’t elbow someone and knock them out in a boxing ring. Accident or not…"

Another agreed: "Elbow to knock him out. Should be DQ tbf."

A third wrote: "You should be banned from boxing for that elbow @KSI."

In DAZN's live blog of the event, it said: "THE KNOCKOUT BLOW APPEARED TO BE AN ELBOW.

"However, the referee missed it and KSI claims the victory."

LADbible has reached out to a representative for comment.

The fight was arranged after an altercation between Fournier and JJ at his last bout against Faze Temper.

Up until today, Fournier had 10 professional bouts with 9 wins and 1 NC, while the Sidemen star had an amateur record of 1-0-1 and a pro record of 3-0.

After the fight, KSI called out Tommy Fury, who entered the ring, saying: “Sign me up, easy money. You’re going to sleep within four rounds.”

Earlier in the evening, 24-year-old Fury was also caught scrapping with Idris Virgo, just moments after Anthony Taylor had his hand raised against Salt Papi.

Taylor AKA Pretty Boy was handed the decision, and minutes later, Fury was confronted by Virgo.

Virgo, known as The Bodybreaker, has also swapped Love Island life for a professional boxing career and currently has a 12-0-1 win-loss-draw streak.

Right now, it’s not known why the scrap started, but the two were spotted crossing paths in a video from S. Sami (S_Universal) and beginning to brawl, with footage being shared via Twitter.

According to TalkSport, Fury was seen in a headlock while the Express reported that the two men could be seen grappling before a sea of people attempted to break up the fight and move the pair apart.

A couple of the people reportedly trying to subdue the struggle were Fury’s father, John Fury, and 38-year-old Latvian boxer, Mairis Briedis.

During the smackdown, DAZN commentators could reportedly be heard saying: “Uh oh, who is that? Tommy and who?

“Is that Idris Virgo? Oh that’s Idris Virgo, knowing Idris he would have gone over and asked for a fight,” they said.
