Tommy Fury dedicates his win to newborn daughter Bambi

Tommy Fury dedicates his win to newborn daughter Bambi

"This fight is for you, Bambi, I love you."

Tommy Fury dedicated his epic win against Jake Paul to his new baby daughter Bambi.

After years of back-and-fourth and two cancelled bouts, the 23-year-old finally won his match against the Problem Child at the Diriyah Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, tonight (26 February) on points.

In his post-victory speech, he said: "I want to dedicate this fight to my new baby girl Bambi at home and my missus.

"I love you and I can't wait to see you."

He added: "This fight is for you, Bambi, I love you."

Last month, Tommy welcomed Bambi into the world with his partner Molly-Mae Hague after the pair met when they were both contestants on Love Island.

Although the boxer was in the zone tonight, he had his family front of mind, having also paid tribute to his daughter in his ring walk ahead of the grudge match.

Tommy was seen donning a robe brandished with Bambi's name, something he has been praised for by the fans.

"Tommy Fury fighting for Bambi," wrote one on Twitter alongside heart emojis, while another said, "Tommy fury coming out with Bambi and filter by Molly Mae on his shorts."

Elsewhere in his post-fight speech, Tommy said: "All the way through in these two and a half years, I had a dream, I had a vision that I would win this fight and no one would believe me.

"Now I can stand up and everyone can take note: in my first main event, 23 years old, I had the world on my shoulders and I came through."

It really is quite the historic moment given how much trash talk there was between the two, especially from Jake's end.

In fact, the YouTuber-turned-boxer was even slammed for taking it 'too far' after he leaked the news of Bambi's birth.

Jake posted at the time: "After multiple failed attempts to get Tommy Fury in the ring, the moment of truth has finally arrived.

"Fumbles has no excuses now. Baby is born. Money is massive. Immigration is not an issue."

Bambi was born just four days prior, but Fury hadn't announced the birth of his child to the world yet.

Although the 26-year-old initially refused to apologise, he later tried to make peace with his opponent by offering up a gift for the newborn and saying sorry for his actions.

The pair were initially meant to face-off in a bout scheduled for December 2021, but Tommy withdrew due to medical reasons just a week beforehand.

A second date for August last year was also canned, as Fury claimed that visa issues prevented him from entering the US.

Despite Jake suggesting Tommy was running scared, it is the Love Island star who has come out on top tonight.
