Alex de Minaur has come out as one of Australia’s best and most promising tennis stars of recent years.

The Sydney-born athlete made his professional debut in 2015, reaching the quarter finals in the Spain F22.

Ranking at 27 for the World Men’s Singles, the 23-year-old began his tennis journey at age 3.

Most recently, Alex fell out of the running in the Wimbledon cup in a long five set match to Cristan Garin from Chile.

What is Alex de Minaur’s net worth?

As of 2022, Alex de Minaur has an estimated net worth of $5 million (£4.175 million), according to Media Referee.

Mentored by Aussie tennis legend Lleyton Hewitt, de Minaur immediately impressed the sports star during his run in the Wimbledon Boys’ Singles final in 2016.

Hewitt worked to aid de Minaur during the ATP Tour as Australia’s Team Captain, leading to Alex’s best season in 2019, where he captured his maiden ATP Tour trophy at his birthplace in Sydney.

During Covid-19, de Minaur turned his sights to other sports: golf course.

He turned his house into a makeshift golf course and practised his putting skills, even managing to hit a coin between the tines of a fork from an impressive distance.

Speaking to ATP.com before his run at Wimbledon, de Minaur revealed: “I would have loved to play against some of the older generations — like John McEnroe — just to see the contrast in style and see how tennis has evolved and changed, to see how that prime era would match up against my generation.”

He now lives in New Providence, the most populous island in The Bahamas.

Thus far de Minaur has won $4,557,531 (£3.809 million) in prize money, and his sponsors for 2022 include Swisse Wellness, Tag Heuer, Asics, Wilson, eniQ, FairMarkets, and Weet-Bix.
