If you're one of the several million people who has become hooked on Pokémon Go, like some sort of mythical-creature-collecting crack fiend, then you may be getting a bit frustrated with the lack of Articuno.
Some clever tech geek people have somehow got into the code and this has confirmed that Articuno is going to become catchable at some point, but so far there's no release date.
Except, that now someone has claimed to have him.
Reddit sang to the sound of excited Pokémon fans claiming to have found Articuno on top of a gym in Ohio. Now, there are screenshots to back this up, and most people seem to agree this is legit.

However, now someone has come forward claiming that she is actually in possession of an Articuno. And this is what has some Pokéfans calling bullshit.
Posting to a Pokémon Go Facebook group, kaitcovey told people that she was given Articuno as an apology from Niantic after she emailed a complaint.
Seems a bit unlikely to me, because I'm sure they were absolutely snowed under with complaints that week that servers crashed (I got so frustrated I deleted the app - fuck you, Pikachu) and no one else has come forward showing off their Articuno.
There are other explanations, aside from kaitcovey being a liar. According to eurogamer, it could be a glitch, which is showing another Pokémon as Articuno. They report that there was a similar glitch, which saw Caterpie turning into a Charizard once captured.
So what do you think? Real or pure bullshit?
