It's like Christmas has come early for gamers this month as Sony have just revealed what the free PlayStation Plus games are for September 2019.
When you sign up for a PlayStation Plus account you'll gain unlimited access to a range of games for your PSP and PS4. The best bit about this is that these are free and cost you nothing extra. The only catch (kind of) is that you need to be quick to get them as they don't stay free forever and will return to full price as soon as the next free games are revealed. Sony normally offer up to five titles in their monthly giveaway, but Fortunately, you get to keep the whatever games you've managed to download.
As well as getting free games for your PS4 from PS+, as an added extra, gamers are often given access to certain multiplayer modes. If this isn't enough to convince you to sign up for a PlayStation Plus account, there are many perks to membership like early access to betas and demos as well as discounts on games.
In July there was plenty of controversy when Sony made the decision to switch out PES 2019 for Detroit: Become Human in the PlayStation Plus lineup at the very last minute. After further investigation, even Konami who make the game weren't aware of the news.
"I cannot really tell you what happened because I just found out today, in the morning when I opened my laptop," European PES brand manager Lennart Bobzien told Gamespot. "I can't really explain."
Horizon Chase Turbo was the other free game for July and WipEout Omega Collection and Sniper Elite 4 were the big games in August.
Now without further ado, the free games for Sony PlayStation Plus in September 2019 are Batman: Arkham Knight and Darksiders III
Both Batman: Arkham Knight and Darksiders III are available to download from PlayStation Store between September 3rd and September 30th.
If you haven't joined PlayStation Plus yet, then you can "Power up your play and join PS Plus on a one, three or 12 month recurring plan" according to the PlayStation store.
Twelve months will set you back £49.99 which is equivalent to £4.17 a month.
Three months is £19.99 which is equivalent to £6.66 a month. One month is £6.99.
