If you're already mourning summer, did you know you can escape to Madeira for just £23 this September?
Often overlooked by Lisbon and the Algarve, the Portuguese island doesn't always get the spotlight it deserves.
But with £1 beers and up to 20 degrees in winter, it's not a bad shout for Brits crying out for some vitamin D.
According to Holiday-Weather.com, Madeira has an average high temperature of 21 degrees in November and a balmy 20 in December.

To put that into context, it’s an average of 10 in London during November and a low seven in December.
If that hasn't already sold you, a bottle of beer, Madeira's own brand Coral Lager for instance, will cost you around £1.75 in the main city of Funchal, or just over £1 if you head to Porto Moniz.
Getting there won’t cost you a lot either if you're smart about it.
For instance, you can fly out from Manchester Airport on Sunday, September 27 via Ryanair for £23.
For those of you based in Scotland, there are £28 outbound flights from Edinburgh via Ryanair on Saturday, September 19.
If you'd rather wait until November, Jet2 flights start from £59 if you fly from Manchester or Gatwick.
