Chances are you've been tuning into the new season of First Dates, which is currently airing on Channel 4 every Tuesday night. One potential pairing was comprised of Mark and Claire, who appeared on the show recently, and their entire encounter was pretty hilarious:
Although Claire, from Bradford, revealed she's never had a boyfriend before and struggles with confidence issues, she didn't let this show when meeting her date. In fact, she had both him and the waiter cracking up with her infectious laugh.
Channel 4 shared a clip of the moment on Twitter, alongside the caption: "We challenge you to watch this without smiling."
Unfortunately it wasn't all smiles at the dinner table, as Mark opened up to Claire about his dad passing away after she asked if his parents were still together.
He said: "My dad was the rock of the family," before revealing in the confessional room: "I think about him every day because the last couple of words he said to me were, 'Look after your mum, Mark, make sure she's okay.'"
I'm not crying, you're crying.
He went on to say: "Whilst my mum's still with us, I'd love to see the pitter-patter of little Marks around."
And if that wasn't cute enough, spoiler alert - Mark and Claire continued to see each other after the show. He even took his new beau to Liverpool's famous Cavern Club for their second outing. Are those wedding bells we hear? Fingers crossed.
More recently in this week's episode, diner Sinoa was described by viewers as an 'inspiration' after she candidly spoke to her date Liam about her experience of sexual assault.
The story came about when he asked her what her tattoo meant, which read 'per ardua ad astra', meaning 'through adversity to the stars' - a reminder herself of the strength she's shown in the face of the traumatic experience.
Speaking to Liam, she said: "It was a couple of weeks before I graduated, when I was 21.
"I was on a night out with some friends and a stranger. Someone I didn't know slipped something into my drink and I was raped."
For seven years she didn't speak about the ordeal, completely crushing her experience with dating in the process. Eventually Sinoa opened up to her mum who helped her to seek help and overcome the shame she was feeling.
Not only did Liam express how truly brave and remarkable she was, but comments from viewers flooded in offering support and praise for the woman for sharing.
As one commenter perfectly put it: "Siona, you are amazing, beautiful and brave. Thank you for using your terrible experience to help others. Wishing you and the gorgeous Liam all the best." As are we.
