As humans, we think we know a lot about the world. But as much as we do know, there will always be mysteries out there that minds and knowledge can't explain, leaving our imaginations to do the rest. Which is exactly what's happening with this video clip, taken of an unidentified pulsating mass of black matter.

Unsurprisingly, the footage, originally posted to Twitter just yesterday (April 2), has racked up some phenomenal numbers - at the time of writing, it's been viewed over 7 million times, while the tweet itself has been liked over 44,000 thousand times and retweeted more than 12,000 times.
The Twitter user who posted it replied to his own and said: "Somebody said it's COVID-19," which is just one of many theories that have arisen since the video went online.
The most popular theory seems to be that the blob is actually the real life version of symbiote from the Marvel Universe - the extraterrestrial species that creates a symbiotic bond with their host to create a single living entity, such as Venom in both Venom and the Spider-Man series. Cue, then, a bunch of different reaction replies, many of them amusing GIFs.

That is called pneumanatic singila symbiotic group. Basically you normally see them that size but sometimes they join eachother to make bigger ones. They are very rare to find. They have been known to cover at least 2-3 making them go psycho, hear things, and get controlled.

Of course, not everybody thought it was Venom.

Of course, there were some serious replies in there, too. Namely that it's a bootlace worm. Those things actually exist and can actually grow up to 55 metres in length. We'll take our chances with Venom, then...
