When Google Maps users went in search of Nessie the Loch Ness monster, this certainly isn't what they had in mind. An x-rated photo of a naked man appearing in Street View has got Twitter users tittering.

A man from London has got people in hysterics after making a shocking discovery on Google Maps. He went searching for Nessie, the mythical monster which is said to live at the bottom of Loch Ness in Scotland, but instead was greeted by a photo of a man leaving nothing to the imagination.

Taking to Twitter to share what he'd found, he explained that if you search for Loch Ness in Google Maps, then switch to Street View, there's a surprise in store.

He posted to Twitter and said:

"PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT

Search 'loch ness' in Google Maps, and click on the street view (I apologise in advance)."

And unsurprisingly, search interest around Loch Ness on Google Maps has soared. It looks as though Google has taken the photo down now that they've been alerted to it. But the Twitter user who first spotted the photo was kind enough to leave everybody a screenshot of the nude man.

The man in the photo isn't next to Loch Ness and he appears to be next to a swimming pool in a holiday villa somewhere.

Another person sunbathing on a deck chair (fully clothed) can be spotted in the photo too.

"WHY DID I ASK? I knew it wasn't going to be good, and yet curiosity..." one Twitter user commented.

"That's no man...that's Nessie," one person wrote.

"If that's Nessie I wish we never found him," replied another.

"Disgusting, what a flippin disgrace, "Lake" ! It's a Loch," one joked.

While some have reported not being able to find the x-rated photo, it's assumed Google might have taken the image down now, others wish they'd been so lucky.

"Lucky u it worked for me," said one user.

Some users believe the man photographed is known for taking naked selfies and marking them in public places on Google Maps. However, this is just hearsay.
