Moment Very Cheeky Monkey Peers Down Woman's Top And Tries To Undo Her Shorts
| Last updated
This is the funny moment a very cheeky monkey tried to take off a woman's shorts - before peering down her top:
The Balinese long-tailed monkey took a shine to tourist Jill Porter, 38, when she was on a trip to Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary in Ubud, Bali.
The video shows onlookers giggling while the animal, apparently unabashed, makes its move. It first pulled at the zip on Jill's shorts, before poking its head into her top and tugging at her hair.
Jill, an administration officer from Castlerock, Northern Ireland, was visiting the forest sanctuary while on holiday with friends in November last year.
She admitted at the time she was 'quite scared' and added: "You are warned to remain calm if they approach you, but I was quite shocked. I think the monkeys were possibly hungry and just looking for food."
Thankfully, the monkey's attention shortly waned and it disappeared back up the steps behind the group.
Jill has since posted the video on TikTok, where it has so far accumulated more than 170,000 views.
This definitely isn't the first time it's happened - so we're pretty confident it won't be the last. Back in 2018 an unfortunate backpacker got involved in an 'altercation' with an overly handsy monkey.
Los Angeles born Brittany Bowman was travelling around South East Asia and had found herself in Chiang Mai, Thailand, which is famous for having loads of monkeys.
Already looking quite concerned, she allowed one particularly cheeky monkey to climb up her leg, but then the little beast decided to have a grab at her top, nearly yanking the whole thing off and exposing her in front of everyone.
Luckily, she managed to preserve her modesty, and later explained: "It left all of us laughing hysterically, almost to the point of tears. I was just so scared that the monkey was jumping on me that I didn't even consider it would pull down my top.
"The owners said he must have been looking for breast milk. It was all just so random, I'm just glad we caught it on camera."
