Living in a caravan is rarely seen as a cool thing to do. You're liable to look a little like Alan Partridge and Sonia in the mobile home, you're at risk of having your house blown up by a rogue Top Gear presenter and you might be mistaken for someone who's had their real house destroyed in a flood. It's unlikely that you'll need supercar parking.

Unless, of course, the caravan that you've decided to call your own is the Volkner Mobil Performance S.

This 40-foot behemoth of a Winnebago boasts a compartment in its undercarriage that is designed with the idea of parking a supercar: there is room for any low-riding car and even a hydraulic lift to get it on board for when you set off.

Given that the Volkner will set you back over £1.2million, the chances are that the car that you're bringing with you is a decent model as well. "It is a house on wheels," says Stephanie Volkner, a director at the company bearing her name, clearly unaware of the stigma that tends to follow living in a house on wheels.

"Our clients normally have big companies. They want to travel freely. They want to decide when they start their journey, where they can go, not before. They look at the weather and start. They want to live in their own, very personal area."

How about a hotel? It does seem unlikely that the owners of big companies, big enough to drop over a million notes of a mobile home, can't afford a hotel and travel.

Volkner continues: "Exclusive is for everybody very different. Some need a golden faucet to be exclusive. For me, it's exclusive that the interior has harmony and all the materials are of the highest quality and their processing is at the highest level."

The interior also boasts a drinks cabinet with glasses - this in a home, lest we forget, that is meant to move - and mod cons like a dishwasher, an oven, a toilet and shower and a full size master bedroom.

Oh, and did we mention that it has supercar parking?
