Woman Tracks Down Owner Of Missing Sunglasses Lens At Festival

When going to a festival, you can pretty much guarantee you are going to lose something, be it your phone, bumbag or sense of you who are.

But one festival-goer went out of her way to make sure that a fellow reveller left with both of his sunglasses lenses at the very least.

Maryrose Simpson stumbled upon the lonely lens lying on the ground at Electric Picnic festival in her hometown of Stradbally, Ireland last month.

While most of us probably wouldn't have thought anything of it, entrepreneur Maryrose took it upon herself to track down its rightful owner. Fortunately, the 30-year-old's mission wasn't as tricky as you might expect, as she soon spotted a bloke who was inexplicably wearing a pair of shades with only one lens in (surely you'd just take them off at this point, no?).

Naturally confident she had found her man, Maryrose hurried over and tapped him on the shoulder - and happily the guy was as excitable about the whole thing as she was.

Turns out the guy was David, a horticulturalist from Dublin, and Maryrose said his reaction made the glass gathering worth her while.

She said: "I was a giggling mess and found it so funny and David's reaction was priceless, so lovely. Though we were complete strangers, he hugged me and smiled."

It's undeniably a lovely little moment, but lots of people online seem to hope the unusual interaction was start of much, much more.

Commenting on the video - which went viral on Facebook with 71,000 views at the time of writing - one person said: "What happened next? Did you dance into the night? Come on don't leave me hanging."

Another added: "I need to know what happened next like, I'm fully invested in this love story now."

However, others speculated that David might have gone into hiding off the back of all the flattering comments that had been made about him, with one person going as far as saying he was 'the most eligible bachelor in Ireland'.

David did eventually peep his head though, writing: "Hi people, can't believe this, thank you all so much for the lovely comments."

Unfortunately though, neither Dave nor Maryrose have divulged what - if anything - happened next.

Perhaps they ran off into the sunset together and have plans to build a family together? Or maybe, they parted company right away and never saw each other again?

I guess your assessment boils down to whether you're a glasses half full or glasses half empty kind of person.
