Boy, 4, Orders 990 Peperamis And 1,200 Sweet Treats On £450 Tesco Online Shop

A four-year-old boy has ordered 990 Peperamis and 1,200 sweet treats for a Tesco home delivery using his mum's phone.

Recalling the incident, the little lad's dad Gareth Davies explained how his son had ordered Mr Kipling bakewell tarts, Fab ice lollies, Mini Cheddars and two cans of deodorant.

The youngster's dad recalled the incident on Twitter where he explained that the shopping mounted up to a rather spenny £450 ($555).

With the mentality of a true lockdown stockpiler, Gareth went on to explain that when he asked his little boy to explain why he was ordering so much he said it was because he 'wanted to have more food than everyone else'.

When the dad told his son that they didn't have enough money to spend £450 on a combination of some absolutely banging snacks he reassured his old man... with a 14p contribution. What a kid.

Many people have responded to Gareth, most have been impressed with the boy's ability to secure a delivery slot.

One wrote: "How did he manage to book a slot? Obviously need 4 year olds to manage our online shopping."

Another added: "Impressive that he got a delivery slot!" a third joked: "Maybe we should place him in charge of ordering PPE for the NHS".

Feeling Gareth's pain, someone else wrote: "That sounds like exactly the sort of thing my 4 year old would do".

In a statement, a Tesco spokesperson said: "This rather unusual order didn't quite have all the essentials, but with weather this good, we think it might just be possible to get through 594 Fabs!"
