Looking for a new job? Look no further. The Local Gin Company is searching for gin tasters.

Don't actually quit your day job though, 'cause this isn't a proper job. Allow me to explain.

Basically, the creatively-named company that makes gin is after people to try out its gin - the payment being all the free gin you will receive.

Unfortunately, you can't pay your bills with gin, hence you'll have to treat this gin-tasting role as a side-gig.

Free gin is always a win.

There are plenty of vacancies though, with the company looking for two tasters from each of the following areas: London, the South East, the South West, the East of England, the Midlands, Yorkshire and the Humber, the North East and the North West.

The chosen applicants will receive regular samples of the company's various gin and pink gin offerings, and will provide 'honest feedback' in return.

This feedback will be used to determine which gins are included in its premium subscription gin boxes.

The ideal candidates 'must enjoy drinking gin served with tonic water and be passionate about supporting local, as all our gins are regionally made'.

And of course, you have to be over 18 to land the role.

The deadline for applications is 31 December, and you can apply here.

Alternatively, if you're more interested in getting your hands on free grub, then MoneyBeach could have the post for you.

It's looking for a 'Festive Food Taster', who will be given a £75 voucher to order festive food on takeaway apps.

They will then be required to review the food in terms of taste, value and 'levels of festive-ness', and once their 'work' is done, they'll be given £200 for their time.

There are worse ways to make 200 quid.

The ad reads: "As a specialist website for restaurant and takeaway insurance - we keep a keen eye on the takeaway trends in the UK.

"This year many brands are offering their limited-edition Christmas menus via delivery apps like Deliveroo, UberEats and Just Eat - which means that festive foodie fans can merrily munch without even having to leave their home.

"It got us thinking - from the Greggs Festive Bake to Pret's Christmas sandwich, what is the best Christmas food out there? Well we're looking for a Festive Food Tester to find out and settle the debate once and for all!"

Entries close on 16 December and the winner will be informed the following day.

You can apply here.
