Halloween House that cost thousands to decorate is attracting visits from all over country

And it's all for a brilliant cause, with the display raising thousands each year for charity.

It isn't Halloween without one house on the street going all out with the decorations. But if you thought your neighbours had impressive glow-in-the dark witches and oversized spiders, you ain't seen nothing yet:

One house in Leven, Scotland, has a Halloween display that's so jaw-dropping, people are travelling from all over the country to see it.

And it's for an incredible cause too, with the spooky house raising thousands of pounds for a different local charity each year.

Vicki Bell transforms the garden of her two-storey property every October with the likes of witches, wizards, ghosts and ghouls - and a 12ft skeleton she had shipped from America especially.

The house - which costs thousands to decorate - is free to visit, but Vicki and partner Greg Williams have a donation box secured to the fence of their garden, as well as QR codes taking visitors directly to a GoFundMe page.

Each year, money is raised for a different charitable cause, with the pair securing an incredible £6,000 last year for LoveOliver, a local charity that helps fund research into childhood cancer and provides support for families.

This year, the house is raising money for Oscar Hodgkinson, a local boy who is bravely battling rhabdomyosarcoma for a third time.

People are so impressed by the display, they travel from all over the country to see it.

Vicki tells LADbible: "It takes us around a week to set up and people visit at all times of the day and night.

"On Halloween, we're all out dressed up giving out sweets and goodies, and we have a local baker, Weirdough Bakes, who makes incredible treat boxes. She sells them from the garden and donates half to our chosen charity.

"The idea started when my gran passed away. We popped a little box out to raise money for the nurses on the ward that cared for her, and we made £3,000."

Vicki and Greg usually keep the decorations up for three weeks, but have cut it down to two this year, partly due to soaring electricity prices.

She said: "From the cost of running it, to us both working full time, it's like having a second job.

"This year, we've definitely had to be more careful and not as impulsive about buying things. But it puts a smile on people's faces and raises some money for charity along the way, that makes it all worth while for us."

The house only gets bigger and better each year, with Vicki explaining the sheer number of decorations are now getting difficult to store.

"All our decorations go up our attic, I don't know how much more we'll get up there though. Greg keeps saying you can't get anymore, but he's knows I'm going to."

And if you're wondering what the neighbours think of it, Vicki says they have the 'best neighbours ever'.

You can donate to help Oscar, via GoFundMe, here.
