Uber has revolutionised the way we think about taxis. From phoning up and being told 'he's just coming round your corner' (forever bullshit), to being able to track their movements to see when they are, literally, pulling up outside your house.
And yes, sometimes we question if they've gone the right route, or the occasional fare increases, but on the whole their drivers are doing an honest job.
The amount of shit they must get. A projectile vomit from a little too much to drink, a dad who always knows the best shortcut, or an abusive passenger.
The latter is what happened to this driver in New York. Thankfully, his dashboard camera caught it all on tape.

God knows what would have happened if it hadn't worked but on this occasion it may have just saved him a lengthy court trial.
The passenger threatened to accuse the driver of rape is she didn't get her own way.
And she doesn't take long before jumping to these wild claims either. Luckily, the driver remains calm and tries to steady the ship.
"You not doing nothing, call the fucking cops. Fuck outta here, I'm gonna tell them you hit me," she begins.
"I ain't taking you nowhere, you exit here," he responds. Quite rightly so.
She adamantly wants the police calling, before shouting: "I will spit on your face."

The driver remains stationary, asks her to calm down or get out, and tells her that she'll still be charged.
He also tells her he's being disrespected, but she is having none of it.
Later, in the video, she begins screaming for her man. Her phone battery has died, but the Uber is booked under her fella's name, any problems the taxi driver has, she feels, should be directed at him.
The taxi driver does brilliantly to not give the game away that he's filming the girl, despite her claiming to tell the police about him hitting her.
After four minutes of video, the rape accusations start. Casually, the taxi driver just agrees with her in a chilled fashion.
"I'm married, and a loyal husband," he responds.
Eventually, after realising she's on tape, she gives up the chase, and leaves the taxi. But has certainly left her mark.
As the driver pulls off he says: "This is uptown New York man, Bronx. We've got stupid ass bitches out here."
He then apologises for his language. Believe us, you have nothing to apologise for, sir.
