A mysterious figure at the coronation of King Charles III? Long hair, glasses and an impressive moustache? There's only one explanation. It's Meghan Markle in disguise.
Or is it?
It was well-known before the events on Saturday (6 May) that Prince Harry's wife would not be attending the coronation of the new king, but that didn't stop her from jumping straight to the top of the list of suspects when viewers were greeted with an unfamiliar face in footage of the event.

The figure sported a shaggy grey mullet, a wild moustache and large glasses, and wore a suit and tie with a medal over the top. It definitely doesn't look like the duchess at first glance, but with no immediate explanation as to who this figure was, a lot of people began to joke that it must be Meghan in disguise.
"Megan, you’re not fooling us…," one person wrote alongside a picture of the person, while another commented: "Lmao... She totally snuck into the festivities."
You probably won't be that surprised to learn that no, the figure wasn't Meghan, but the man behind the moustache has still had to make that clear.

The footage actually showed Welsh composer, Sir Karl Jenkins, who was invited to the coronation because one of his songs was set to be played during the ceremony.
Jenkins has now taken to TikTok to assure that he isn't the Suits star, saying: "I understand there's been a lot of interest in me since I appeared at the coronation."
"I was quite surprised that some people thought I was Meghan Markle in disguise," Jenkins continued, before revealing that another viewer actually accused him of being there to 'steal the crown jewels'.

The composer went on to insist that he 'look[s] this way all the time', and that he's had his impressive moustache since he was 18-years-old.
"So that's me," he said. "Nothing sinister about it or surprising at all."
So there you have it; the truth right from Jenkins' own mouth. But has it been enough to convince people of his innocence?

Of course not.
After coming across Jenkins' video, one suspicious viewer responded: "You know who would say they weren’t Meghan Markle in disguise at the coronation? Meghan Markle in disguise at the coronation, that’s who. You’re not going to fool us with that obvious bluff, Meghan."
Another added: "That’s exactly what Meghan Markle in disguise at the Coronation would have said."
Poor Jenkins - he's never going to be able to get people on board. Unless, of course, he really is trying to trick us all...
