Man Gets Stuck Inside Aldi After 'Last Worker Leaves 15 Minutes Before Closing Time'

A man was locked inside of an Aldi store after the last worker reportedly closed up 15 minutes early. Watch the hilarious clip below:

The man, who goes by the name Khaos Blackmetal (@khaosblackmetal) on TikTok where he has over 15,000 followers, ended up trapped in a US Aldi store in April 2020.

Upon realising he’d been abandoned inside the supermarket, Khaos had to call the police to help break him out.

The TikToker wasn't overly concerned - after all, he had access to a plentiful supply of snacks and booze.

Could be worse, am I right?

“During the pandemic, Aldi closed early and the cashier neglected to make sure no customers were left in the store,” he wrote in the caption.

In the video, which has been viewed more than nine million times, Khaos explains that he ‘just got locked in an Aldi’ while showing his watch which reads 8.45pm - 15 minutes before closing time.

Text over the clip reads: “I could unlock it myself but called the cops to avoid setting off the alarm.”

The camera cuts to the shopper in the empty store, shouting: “Can anybody hear me,” before saying: “I don’t have to worry about starving to death because there’s plenty of food.”

Khaos helped himself to some wine.

He then points to the booze aisle, adding: “There’s also a bunch of alcohol in that rack.”

Thankfully the cops eventually showed up and set Khaos free.

He went into more detail about the incident in the comments section, writing: “This was April 2020, shortly after all the toilet paper disappeared and most people were staying in their homes for two weeks.

“I was fresh in from Puerto Rico and hadn’t kept up with the news about what was happening back in the States.

“I needed groceries so drove to Aldi. There was one other shopper and the cashier. I walked by her as I entered.”

After a bit of shopping, the TikToker said the lights shut off, which he assumed was a cue that the store was closing soon.

But after waiting at the till for a few minutes, he says he went to find the cashier, only to see out the window that she was driving away.

Security cameras proved the TikToker hadn't broken into the shop.

Khaos called the cops, adding that the ‘dispatcher got a good laugh’, as did the officer who showed up and told him to stay put until the store manager arrived.

“The manager arrived and was super confused that two shoppers got locked in the store and the security system wasn’t working like it should,” he added.

“We asked if we could pay for our stuff and he told us to just come back and pay the next day and pick up our items.”

Khaos continued: “I still shop at Aldi and there are no hard feelings.”

LADbible has contacted Aldi US for a comment.
