Woman Asks For Tattoo Of Marvel Character But Ends Up With 'Penis' On Arm

Some are saying the tattoo artist should have alerted her to the awkward limb in question before putting needle to skin

A woman with a tattoo of a famous mammalian Marvel character has now realised the permanent ink looks a lot like a penis. Have a look for yourself here:

People are cracking up over Courtney Lyn's arm tat of Rocket Raccoon from Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy.

The American woman said: "It was supposed to be a kneecap, but it doesn't look like a kneecap.

"It looks like a penis!"

TikTok

"Look at this knee cap in question, there is a line there," she said.

"He [the tattoo artist] followed it correctly, unfortunately. I don't know if that's a fold in the clothing, a crack in the knee pad or whatever, but he followed it."

TikTok

Courtney admitted to being reluctant to mentioning the awkward aspect of the design to the tattoo studio.

"I don't want to correct someone who does it professionally," she said.

"But if I saw that from an artist's standpoint, I would probably think, 'Hmmm I’m not going to do that'.

"Or, as some of you have suggested, do some shading."

The tattoo artist had provided services to Courtney before.

She even claimed to have watched him through the entire drawing process - from the top of Rocket's ears to the end of his...

It was only when she returned home to look in the mirror that she clocked on to the limp limb.

TikTok

Many of the video's viewers dived in with hot takes on whether the artist was at fault.

One wrote: "Nah the artist should have made that judgement call and brought it your attention lol."

But some tried to ease the pain of the unexpected penis for Courtney by offering messages of support.

One wrote: "I hope after having it coloured by a different artist it’ll look good, it’s a cute idea, I love it! Definitely update us."

And Courtney wrote back with thanks: "Thank you! haven't got a lot of nice comments, just a lot of comments stating the obvious or repeating what 100s of others have said. so thank you!"

Courtney said she would now be getting the tattoo filled in with coloured inks to hide the sneaky slit that makes Rocket's knee look so inappropriate.
