Looking for The Perfect Valentine’s Gift? Weatherspoons Have A 'Sizzling' Offer

As we quickly approach the end of Dry January, we can all now turn out attention to the next event in the modern calendar that seems to have an event for everything.

At least this one is a proper one. It is - of course -Valentine's Day on the 14^th February.

Speaking of Dry January, you will be able to drink again by then - which is perfect news considering what I'm about to tell you.

You can treat that special someone in your life to a meal for two, as well as a few pints of bitter for less than £2 if you so choose. Wetherspoons is having a Valentine's Day romantic dinner special.

£20, yes, just £20 buys you a meal for two that includes main courses, dessert, and a drink each.

Don't worry; you will be able to get steak again after the fiasco the other day that left literally two people ridiculously angry because they couldn't get their weekly Steak Club fix.

In fairness to Spoons, it was because the Food Standards Agency found that their meat supplier was dangerously unhygienic and recalled all of the meat sold by them across the country which included all 900 odd Wetherspoons pubs.

Since then they've found a new supplier, so steak will be back on the menu in time for the big day (they reckon by January 30^th, in case you are desperate).

On February 14^th you can have steak, or you can choose from a menu that includes BBQ pork ribs, mixed grill, or BBQ chicken melt mains, and gammon and eggs.

There is a vegetarian option, of course - veggie lasagne.

If you fancy really splashing out on your beloved you can upgrade the deal to include a bottle of bubbly prosecco which makes it £25 all in.

However, you'll have to check ahead to see if it is available at your local branch. Because all Wetherspoons pubs are run as franchises some of them might opt out of the deal or the pirce might be slightly different depending on which particular pub you choose.

The steak (because that's what everyone wants) comes with mushroom, peas, tomato and either a jacket potato or chips - but you already knew that, didn't you?

If you can't wait that long for your Wetherspoons fix, you'll be disappointed to learn that you've just missed the January Sale.

Between January 2^nd and 17^th they were offering loads of discounts on drinks, but that's all over now. Hard luck.
